Hi, my name is Nia Lewis!

I'm a licensed cosmetology instructor. I teach CEU classes that help salon professionals build businesses designed for longevity and growth. I also teach Methods of Teaching, a course required by the Board of Cosmetology in SC to earn a cosmetology instructor's license. I created With Purpose Continuing Education to bring professional, engaging education to salon professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many hours do I need to renew my license?

    If you are a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician, or nail tech in South Carolina, you need 4 CEU hours to renew your license. If you are a licensed instructor in South Carolina, you need 4 CEU hours to renew your license.

  • How long do I have to complete a course after I register?

    You have up to 15 days to complete an online course after registering. The course cannot be extended if you do not complete the course within 15 days. You can pause the course, and restart anytime within your 15 day registration period. You must complete the entire course to earn your continuing education hours within 15 days.

  • How do I know my hours were submitted to the Board?

    We will submit your continuing education hours to the appropriate Board within 10 business days of you completing the online course. After completing your course, no further action is needed from you. Make sure you complete the evaluation form at the end of the course. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE EVALUATION FORM, WE CANNOT SUBMIT YOUR HOURS!

  • Are online courses refundable?

    All sales for online courses are final. We do not offer refunds for online courses.

  • When do I receive my certificate of completion?

    If you are licensed in South Carolina, you will receive your certificate of completion for taking an online course in the mail form USC within 3-4 weeks of completing the course.

  • Are your courses approved by the Board of Cosmetology?

    Yes, we are a Board-approved continuing education provider in South Carolina.
